Journey Home is always looking for dedicated volunteers. We offer many opportunities with flexible commitment; weekly, annually, or anything in between. Review the opportunities listed below, then simply click on the link to submit your volunteer application.
Through our A Hand Up (Making a House a Home) program, volunteers are needed to pick up donated items and deliver them to our warehouse. These deliveries are typically scheduled during the week, but we do have a few of them on the weekends every month.
In order for our furniutre program to run smoothly we need volunteers like you to help keep our warehouse organized! Volunteers meet at the warehouse during our drop off times (Wednesday and Fridays from 12-2) to help put together kitchen sets, sheet sets, and sort donated items.
Join us as we deliver furniture and other household items to newly-housed individuals and families. Move-ins are scheduled every weekend, as well as some weekdays, and typically last 3-4 hours. Abundant gratitude and smiles make this a very rewarding event.
Photographers and Videographers
Volunteers are needed for occasional projects throughout the year and during our signature events.
Group Service Opportunities
Grab your family, coworkers, team or neighbors for a wonderful team-building and bonding experience. Whether you want to meet up at our storage facility for a morning full of deliveries, or take it a step further by adopting one of our clients and furnishing their new home with donated items, your group will help make a real difference in people’s lives.
Journey Home hosts an annual fundraising gala in February, as well as a few smaller events throughout the year. Volunteer support is needed for various tasks including event planning, sponsor and auction item solicitation, and event logistics.
